Our adaptable venues are specifically designed to

support and develop innovative solutions for the resources sector

Located in Paget – the service hub for the resources and METS sector – the Resources Centre of Excellence offers a range of training, conference and event rooms for hire – as well as affiliate spaces and locations throughout the Mackay Isaac Whitsunday region. Our aim is to help our clients to better connect, learn, and engage when using our facilities.

RCOE’s Paget facility is fully equipped with world-class technology features, modern furnishings, spacious layouts, and natural sunlight. We also accommodate for a wide variety of audio visual, video conference and room layout requests.

The RCOE VR Lab offers access to an ever-expanding library of VR safety training experiences.  Each experience is high risk, high immersive, providing hands-on, experiential learning.  Attendees engage with content in a more active and dynamic way, leading to a faster acquisition of knowledge and skills.

The hardware (six headsets) and software (library of 15 modules) are cutting edge technology, and designed to be relevant and accessible to people who may have never experienced VR before as well as those familiar with virtual reality scenarios.
